... Yo, did anybody else just see that on TV? "Future events such as these will affect you in the future", huh? As much as I'd like to criticise the fact that he was being captain obvious, I'm a tad concerned about what it could possibly mean here...

Whether it deals with the future, aliens or whatever else, it'll probably be just as bad anyway.

Maybe. At least if we could predict it, we might be able to defend ourselves and each other somehow.

Unless, maybe, they didn't plan for that at all. But if that's the case, there's no way to know that for sure either.

Right. And they'll be busy, trying to do that. Won't they? [She's thinking.] And if it is the plan, they might be busy trying to enact it. There's no telling what they could do, but now might be a good time to conduct investigations. We might get somewhere while they're busy with all this.

But... we need to protect each other, too. Each other is the only thing any of us have anymore.
