002 - And so, I resigned to my fate...
(Ah, school... My old nemesis. The place where I spend endless hours listening to the teachers talk about things I'm only half paying attention to, and then spend a few more endless hours working for Haruhi's stupid club. At the very least, this isn't North High any more, meaning that at least I'm free of all my Brigade duties.
On the other hand, that isn't much relief knowing that I've been kidnapped into some alternate dimension. ... Does that make the people responsible for this sliders? I guess that ticks the final box on the "Things Haruhi asked for on our first day" list. Speaking of Haruhi, apparently she had been in this place before too? Also, I still can't wrap my head around Nagato's claim of me having been here before too. Twice even. I'd expect myself to remember a strange place like this if I'd been here... Even with all the other weird stuff in my life.
Anyway, I'm letting my thoughts drift again, aren't I? Back to Haruhi, despite all the trouble she seems to cause, I guess you could almost say I was used to having her in my life now? It's still rather unsettling to see what remains of her here, the "drone", acting so... normal. So un-Haruhi-ish. I suppose I ought to get used to it though... Not like there's much else I can do about it...)
[Those of you who care to speak to Kyon will probably find him in the school playground during lunch, watching Haruhi's drone from a distance as she behaves like an ordinary person as your usual drone would. You may notice a sigh as he tries to turn his mind to other things.]

...
[And so, he picks up the bar he was hit by and walks over to help the girl up.]
You okay there?

[This is an everyday occurrence, no worries. She gets on her knees and stares up at Kyon.]
You took my candy.

[Holding it out to her.]

You didn't eat any of it?

[Since she's still only gotten onto her knees, Kyon's gonna hold out a hand to help her up properly.]
no subject
I dunno. Does it really matter? ...And why are you staring at that girl?
no subject
[An obvious denial, but Haruhi was never a topic he really enjoyed talking about.]

(Haruhi? A "friend"? ... Not a word I'd normally use to describe her, but I guess it'll do for now.)

[A friend... Oh.]
Aren't you going to stay her friend?

It really isn't her place to get involved but..] ...Are you alright?

Hello. Watching over Suzumiya, I see.

(Nagato said something about Asakura earlier, didn't she? I don't know... Maybe. It was along with everything else she had to say and it kind of blended together as a big infodump. Either way, best to be on my guard.)
Y-you're not going to try anything here, are you?

So you see, there is no reason to fear me at the moment.

Ah... I suppose I should also say now that you may call on me for aid when this place inevitably becomes dangerous. In fact, I encourage it. It makes locating your position less troublesome.

Anyway, it is up to you whether or not you wish to trust me. However, no matter what your decision ultimately is, I will continue monitoring your actions as I have been.
