38th sigh

[Kyon has been kicked up into a furore over this latest event, however having hit a wall almost immediately, you may find him sitting on a park bench musing to himself...]

... Man, I really am hopeless on my own, huh? I decide that I have to go and investigate this mess, yet I haven't the slightest clue where to start. It'd sure be useful if I had Haruhi... Or even Nagato or Koizumi... They'd probably find us at least a starting point, even if it turns out to be a dead end.

Oh well, maybe if I sit here a bit longer, something will come to me...

It is a possibility. I made notes at home when I started forgetting about Tohsaka. However, I think I have forgotten many of the things that I have recorded in them. I will have to consult them when I return to my house.

Well, writing down what you still know would be better than letting yourself eventually forget everything.

If my assumptions are correct, then both the power outage and the announcment of the people being replaced are distractions. The real target of the town is our memories. If so, then perhaps it seeking to further integrate us into this place by slowly removing our memories? They have already removed some of our physical attributes or personal items, so this seems to match with their previous behavior.

Now that we have reiterated what we already know and proposed some hypotheses about the current events, we should start with investigations. I suggest observing these new constructs and finding what their major defect is. Perhaps we should compare notes of our observations.

Would meeting again in this spot after 24 hours of observing the various constructs sound reasonable to you?

Otherwise, I suppose we could meet in one of our houses. I am Bazett Fraga McRemitz and I live on 1130 Taylor Road.

It depends. Insignificant details can be the key to solving a crime, and what seems to be damning evidence could just be a red herring.

I will contact you after 24 hours then, Kyon. Hopefully, by that time, we will have made some useful observations.
