(Goddammit... Why? Why did she have to be droned? Even if she wasn't really my mother, I've had her for... what, four or five months now? She had her... eccentricities, but don't we all? I'm honestly going to miss her. Oh well, it's how life goes, isn't it? Just like Miss Asahina... Guess I'll just have to try and deal with it.)

[Today, you will see Kyon going through his daily routine. Heading to school, sitting in class, eating lunch, going home, performing some inane task assigned by Haruhi, etc.

Of course, you may also notice that he's doing these things somewhat half-heartedly. ... Or well, more half-heartedly than normal. Feel free to come across him at any point of his day.]

Oh I....

I'm actually really sorry about that. I had someone I cared about a lot get droned too, permanently. I'm hoping maybe they just went home for good but given what we found out about the dairy I'm not so sure.

Remember, that was the whole "April Fool's" thing too. It's probably worth taking some things with a grain of salt.

(... Of course, the main reason for my salt grains here is that the alternative is too horrible to contemplate.)

I know. It's just that using people in that way would explain a lot of other things this town manages to do.... like bring people back to life, and such.

The town in general seems to like following it's own rules. Who says there has to be any conservation of energy?

(... I wonder, is this the kind of thing Haruhi could do if she realised her true potential? I shudder to think. Though I suppose at the very least, she'd be slightly more benevolent than Lucy Smith.)

Everything has rules and a pattern Kyon, even what I do with power of existence has an order to it. You can't get something for nothing.

While I would say that everything has to have some kind of limitations, the idea of something arising from nothing isn't completely impossible. After all, you have to ask... Where did the universe come from? What allowed it to begin?

Well, I suppose I specifically haven't gotten anything. (Or at least, nothing worth having...) But the concept of new... "data" spontaneously manifesting in the real world isn't an entirely foreign one.

(... I make it sound like I'm talking about Digimon or something.)
