[Kyon has been kicked up into a furore over this latest event, however having hit a wall almost immediately, you may find him sitting on a park bench musing to himself...]

... Man, I really am hopeless on my own, huh? I decide that I have to go and investigate this mess, yet I haven't the slightest clue where to start. It'd sure be useful if I had Haruhi... Or even Nagato or Koizumi... They'd probably find us at least a starting point, even if it turns out to be a dead end.

Oh well, maybe if I sit here a bit longer, something will come to me...

But we can't just give up either. I don't know about you, but I'm not going to let this town get to me. Maybe there's nothing we can do...but we can at least try and investigate this, right? That's what the SOS Brigade is for!

Umm, well...

(She starts thinking, pacing around as she does. To be honest, she can't think of anything either. But she doesn't want to see Kyon so sad; he was already so upset over Yuki, and Haruhi seems important to him. They should at least find something to take their minds off this whole mess.)

What about the big Christmas tree? It all started when it first came up. Maybe we can find some clues there.

(Trying to turn up the cheerfulness level here. When they do get to the Christmas Tree, Tara looks up at the whole thing in awe.)

I wonder how they got that one up so fast.

Who knows? They seem to have a knack at making things turn up suddenly here. ... Or disappear.

It's nearly like magic. Or maybe we're really all in a computer simulation. It's almost like Tron. Maybe all our minds are linked up to this giant computer, and we get uploaded into the program. They can take us in and out of the program, make modifications to the program...that might explain why we've got a giant Christmas tree set up so fast.

(And after much searching and many hours, they haven't found anything. Tara glares at the tree with as much hatred as she can muster; she's been prickled all over by it.)

Maybe we could try pulling the lights off instead? Or, we could cut the wires. If we cut it at one point, it should stop the electricity flowing through the tree.
